Venom: Let There Be Carnage might have an extra cameo lurking on the set, as UK cinema chain Vue has included actor JK Simmons’ name in the cast page for the upcoming sequel, as spotted by GamesRadarVenir de Tragamonedas Gratis Online. Simmons played the editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle newspaper in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and had a small cameo in 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home as a new incarnation of the character who’s constantly demanding to see pictures of the web-slinger.
While it could be a simple mistake on Vue’s part, there have been a few clues spotted in the marketing for Venom so far. The Daily Bugle newspaper was spotted in one of the trailers for the film, while Sony’s other Spider-Man spin-off Morbius has a Far From Home Easter egg that might be a reference to the death of Mysterio. Venom 2 director Andy Serkis has deflected any Marvel multiversal theories, claiming that Venom 2 exists in its “own world” for now. There have been rumors that Simmons is reprising his role, once again, of Jameson for Venom 2, but there has been no confirmation of Jameson’s return or Simmons’ involvement with the upcoming film as of this writing.
